Based on latest figures, the population of centenarians in the UK has doubled from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the number of male centenarians has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the identical period, the number of female centenarians almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are eager to listen to those aged 100 or over, their loved ones or close ones, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s transformative changes and developments.
